Rooted Academy is an in-person homeschool enrichment program located in Granbury, TX. The program focuses on movement, play, and character development for homeschool kids aged 6-12. We are dedicated to providing a unique outdoor curriculum centered around physical movement, leadership, and character development. Our mission is to create an engaging and nurturing environment for homeschool kids, helping them to grow and thrive in a holistic way.

Where does Rooted Academy take place?
Rooted Academy takes place at the Granbury Soccer Fields on Crossland Rd. We will HQ at the pavilion and use the surrounding fields for all of our activities!
Is Rooted Academy a "drop-off" program?
YES, Rooted Academy is a drop-off homeschool enrichment program.
Parents are more than welcome to hangout and observe the fun, but our coaches do the coaching!
Imagine running some errands around town or having a few hours to yourself (or with your younger ones) while your child gets some time to explore and grow with a mixed-age group of other kids, OUTSIDE.
Who can attend Rooted Academy?
Kids ages 6-12 can attend Rooted Academy! (Including any kid who will be 6 or 12 during the duration of a Rooted Academy semester.)
Does Rooted Academy require a uniform?
Uniforms are required and can be ordered at registration! The uniform will come with a hat and t-shirt, though only the t-shirt must be worn. Any black bottoms and close-toed shoes may be worn with the uniform.
Are snacks or lunch provided?
Please send your child with lunch, a snack, and a water bottle! We will have a water refill station with us at all times but will not be providing food items.
What does the structure of the class look like?
Generally, each class will begin with a whole-group warm up and activity, then we will move into small groups with activities separated by short breaks. We will finish the day back in whole-group for breakdown discussion.
What is the driving philosophy behind Rooted Academy?
At Rooted Academy, we believe that every person has a unique gifting and blueprint for who they are and how they show up in the world. From age 6-12, kids are ready to start exploring those gifts and blueprints and our goal is to support that exploration through movement, play, and intentional problem-solving challenges.
What are the staff qualifications for Rooted Academy?
Each staff member is first aid and CPR certified. Every staff member must also pass a background check and adhere to the rules and expectations of our Rooted Academy Staff Handbook. Rooted Academy was founded by educators with over 10 years combined experience in public education in the fields of primary and secondary schooling, special education, and leadership.
Rooted Academy takes place outdoors. What happens in the case of bad weather?
In the event of unsafe weather (thunderstorms, extreme heat index or extreme cold) we will do our absolute best to secure an indoor location, however, this cannot be guaranteed. If for any reason class cannot be relocated, rescheduled or your student is unable to attend a rescheduled class more than two times, you will be reimbursed in full for classes missed after two missed classes.
Will we be reimbursed if our student misses a class?
No. Due to limited space, we cannot reimburse a missed class due to personal reasons. Just like joining an athletic team or skills traning, Rooted Academy is a commitment!
How do I submit registration and tuition?

Emily Hartman
Emily is behind the curriculum development and administrative side of Rooted Academy and will be serving as a coach for the spring semester. Emily has over 6 years of experience in public education, the bulk of which took place in a nationally-recognized leadership academy. Emily is a mom to 3 and is passionate about serving her local community by offering this quality homeschool enrichment program!

Scout Gibson
Scout is our lead coach here at Rooted Academy! Scout has over 5 years of experience working in the elementary public education space with the bulk of his time working as a special education teacher. Scout is wholly inspired by the outdoors and can't wait to bring Rooted Academy to the kids in this community.
